DIY faux topiary

I don't know about you but, I LOVE the look of topiaries. Nothing beats the real thing but let's be honest here, I'm not too great about keeping indoor plants alive. Besides, when you can achieve the look you're looking for without having another thing to remember doing (ah hem...watering plants) then why not, right?!?

Ok...so ive looked at purchasing them and they can be pretty costly for the good, full, real looking topiaries. There are others out there for less money but the quality is obvious. So, low and behold, once again, I do it myself.

This project was simple and inexpensive.

Here is all you need:

-Clay or ceramic pot (no plastic since this will be top heavy)

-Floral foam disc for inside pot

-Floral foam ball for topiary

-Stick from outside

-Floral stems of choice (I used thyme from Amazon 11.99 for 3 bunches)

-rocks for pot (to weigh it down or even decorate with)

-faux peat moss (optional)

-wire cutters

After you gather all supplies, simply assemble. Easy peasy.

I really love how it turned out!

Here is another one I made with rocks in the pot instead of the moss.
